Olaplex

Olaplex is a “bonding product” that helps to repair and maintain hair that has been damaged from chemical processing and heat styling tools.

It’s been referred to as the “revolutionary product for damaged hair”, as it’s now the leading product to rebuild the strength of the hair from within.

Olaplex Step 1 & Step 2..................From $55

Step 1 is a concentrated in salon service added to your colour. It rebuilds broken bonds in the hair and protects the hair especially during a lightening service.

Step 2: is performed at the wash lounge and continues to rebuild and restore ensuring the strongest, shiniest and healthiest hair possible.

Steps 3, 4 and 5 is available for separate purchase

What is Olaplex?

Olaplex was founded by Dean Christal, who teamed with scientist Dr Craig Hawker and Dr Eric Pressly to produce a new molecule that works from inside the hair strands to repair and strengthen damaged locked where the structure has broken down.

Simply put, Olaplex is a “bonding product”. It helps to repair and maintain hair that has been damaged from chemical processing and heat styling tools.

It’s been referred to as the “revolutionary product for damaged hair”, as it’s now the leading product to rebuild the strength of the hair from within.

What are the benefits of Olaplex?

  • Helps repair hair damage from regular colouring and styling

  • Reduces breakage

  • Helps hair grow longer

  • Improves and maintains hair integrity and strength

  • Tames frizz, making hair smoother, shinier and more manageable

  • Makes colour last longer

Olaplex is more than just a conditioning treatment. While conditioning treatments simply coat the hair shaft – providing only temporary results – Olaplex treatments fundamentally changes and improves the internal hair structure.

How does Olaplex work?

Olaplex treatments can be added to your colour service (highly recommended when lightening hair) or as a stand alone treatment for hair that is already compromised/damaged.

Here at Ms Monaco Hair Society, we have Olaplex 1 & 2;

OLAPLEX NO.1 – “BOND MULTIPLIER”

This concentrated first step rebuilds broken disulfide bonds and begins the process or repairing hair and preventing further damage.

This product goes on your hair during the colouring service. It’s mixed directly with the hair colour and applied directly onto your hair.

OLAPLEX NO.2 – “BOND PERFECTOR”

This second step continues to restore and rebuild and remaining broken bonds, ensuring the healthiest, shiniest and strongest hair possible.

This product goes on at the basin. Once we have rinsed out your hair colour, Olaplex is applied and left on for around 20 minutes, then rinsed out.

It’s similar to a deep conditioning mask, and really is your insurance policy during a colouring service. By adding Olaplex into the colouring process, we’re able to mitigate the damage done during the process.

For our clients who are currently on our Beach Babe Summer Blonde Package, these treatments are included as part of your service.

Who is Olaplex suitable for?

Although Olaplex will work best on colour treated hair – that has been damaged through over processing – everyone’s hair can benefit from an Olaplex treatment.

From virgin hair to chemically straightened hair to permed hair, Olaplex is compatible with all hair types.

Can I purchase Olaplex products to take home?

While Olaplex No.1 & No.2 is exclusive to salon use only. We have Olaplex No.3, No.4 & No.5 products available. This allows you to continue caring and maintaining your locks in between your salon appointments.

OLAPLEX NO.3 – “HAIR PERFECTOR”

This at home treatment is not a conditioner. It helps to reduce breakage and visibly strengthen hair, improving both its look and feel.

This product is recommended for weekly use at home. It should be applied to wet hair for at least ten minutes (before rinsing, shampooing and conditioning as normal).

OLAPLEX NO.4 – “BOND MAINTENANCE SHAMPOO”

The No.4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo works to repair hair bonds while gently cleansing hair. Imparting deep moisture and strength. It’s a great follow-up to the No.3 Hair Perfector at home treatment.

OLAPLEX NO.5 – “BOND MAINTENANCE CONDITIONER”

The No.5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner works to repair hair bonds and gently restore hydration levels without adding excess weight. It’s ideal for eliminating damaged frizz and promoting shiny, strong and healthy hair – the perfect follow up to the No.4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo.
