  • DEPOSITS & PREPAYMENTS
    DEPOSITS. To secure your appointment, we mandate a valid debit or credit card on file. In instances where you cannot provide card details online, such as for new clients or returning guests, and guest scheduling services requiring 4 hours or more (e.g., chemical treatments, hair extensions, special events), a non-refundable deposit of 50%-100% may be necessary. You will receive an invoice or payment request via Venmo or Cashapp. LAST MINUTES | SAME DAY APPTS. For last-minute appointments, full payment is required upfront. HAIR EXTENSIONS + WIGS. For custom wig and sew-in hair services, purchases can be made directly through our technicians. Payment in full, along with a 50% deposit for reservation, must be completed prior to your visit, with the deposit applied towards your service balance. PREPAYMENTS. Please be advised if at anytime you cancel your appointment within our 48-hour cancellation policy. No refund is allowed, a store credit or gift card will be issue to use towards a future service.   • PRICING & CURRENCY CONVERSION
    All prices listed on the website are in US (USD) dollars. For international orders, the bank that has issued your credit/debit card determines the exact exchange rate that you will be charged. The amount charged from the original Out The Blú Beauty Bar invoice purchased is returned when refunded by the seller. Please note we cannot be held responsible for any discrepancies caused by exchange rate fluctuations.
  • PHOTOGRAPHY/ VIDEOTAPED.
    By entering our location(s), you give permission to be photographed or videotaped in conjunction with Out The Blu Beauty Bar promotional, advertising, and social media purposes whether known or unknown and hereafter devised.

  • GUEST POLICY
    ABSOLUTELY! NO CHILDREN & EXTRA GUEST ALLOWED! To sustain a private, relaxed environment for our guests, we respectfully request children & extra guest do not attend beauty appointments. We kindly appreciate that children under the age of 18 are not brought to the salon service area unless they are receiving services. This is for their safety as well as to minimize distractions for our guests.
  • (ELITE+ MEMBERSHIPS ONLY): STAND-BY LIST| LAST MINUTE RESCHEDULE
    If already have an appointment and want to change within the 24 hour policy, the technician will see if there are any available seats on alternate date/time. If there are, the technician will charge you a fee $$$ based on policy to change your spot and you will be confirmed for the new time. If there aren't spots available, then you'll be given the option to get on the standby list for free. While you wait for your appointment to be changed, you'll keep your spot on the original day. Note: that if you'd like to change your appointment before the 24-hour mark, you can change and confirm a new slot on outtheblubeautybar.com website anytime. For Silver Loyalty Elite Status Members, Package Service and Unlimited Memberships, you'll have to choose a spot that is earlier than the one that you booked. Diamond, Platinum, and Gold Loyalty Elite Status Members can pick a seat any time that day during operating hours. Out The Blú Beauty Bar standby service is available for all salon classes.
  • APPOINTMENTS, WALK-INs, WAITLIST
    APPOINTMENTS: We DO accept Walk Ins based on availability, however, to give you the best attention possible we are an Appointment Based salon. Appointments will typically receive priority over walk-ins. Another advantage with an appointment is that you can select the technician that you would like to perform your service. If possible, try to arrive early for your appointment. If you arrive early for your appointment this gives the salon and technician more flexibility to handle your appointment. This also gives you time to make the most important decision of all …….“WHAT LOOK ARE YOU GOING FOR?” ​ Please note that we do require a working debit|credit card on file to reserve your appointment. For any reason you are not able to provide a card on hold online. ​You will receive an invoice, Venmo, or Cashapp request to pay a non-refundable deposit of 50% is required. Be sure to read all details and always check our availability prior to placing a non-refundable deposit. Deposits go towards the service and will remain valid and on file for rescheduled or canceled appointments (please refer to our cancellation policy). Deposits must be paid within 10 minutes of deposit of invoice required for an appointment in order to be secured. REMAINING BALANCE IS TO BE PAID IN AT THE TIME OF YOUR APPOINTMENT. WALK-INs: Certainly! While we primarily operate on an appointment-based model and do not accept physical walk-ins, we do accommodate same-day appointments, also known as walk-ins, through our waitlist system. For same-day appointments, you can reach out to us starting at 10:00 am using our contact form, emailing us, or by via chat|texting line. If there are available slots and a technician is free, we'll add your name to our waitlist. Please note that being added to the waitlist is not a confirmed appointment. However, as long as space remains available and a technician is free, we'll contact you on a first-come, first-served basis. We look forward to potentially accommodating your same-day appointment needs! WAITLIST: Y Here's how it works: To secure a walk-in appointment, simply sign up for our waitlist by scrolling down and clicking on 'book now', or by downloading our app for even easier access. Once you're on our waitlist, you'll receive a 'Ready Next' text alert via SMS when your wait time is reduced to just 15 minutes. It's a hassle-free process! Please note that being added to the waitlist is not a confirmed appointment. However, as long as space remains available and a technician is free, we'll contact you on a first-come, first-served basis.   • DETANGLING | PREVIOUS STYLE TAKEDOWNS, DRYING TIME POLICY (THICK |LONG HAIR)
    DETANGLING: Typically there is NO charge for MINOR detangling of your hair. Nevertheless, there IS a charge for detangling when. You haven't combed your hair in a substantial amount of time this causes the service to become fairly labor-intensive. You have just removed a protective style that you've worn more than a month. You have matting or EXCESSIVE tangling due to not combing or detangling. Detangling fees START at $50/per hour. If you would like us to do the detangling prep, please ADD-ON this service upon booking your appointment. If not added, the time may not permit for us to complete the service. This may result to a canceled appointment. PREVIOUS STYLE TAKEDOWNS: When you come in for your appointment, your hair MUST be ready for your shampoo service. If I have to take your previous style down before I get started on your current service we are using your service time taking down your hair instead of starting on your new style, which throws me behind. It also takes your service into the service time of the next client. Therefore if this happens a charge WILL occur. Depending on the complexity of the takedown and detangling, an additional charge of $30-$50/per hour will be added to your service. DRYING TIME (THICK | LONG HAIR): As textured hair can take awhile to fully dry. If you'd like to fully dry your set, for ALL NATURAL HAIR SERVICES it must be book no later than 4pm.   • PAYMENTS
    Payment must be rendered and larcernyl theft of services will be prosecuted. ​Contact management for any complaints.
  • 100% GUARANTEE SERVICES
    GUARANTEE SERVICES. We always want you to be 100% satisfied with your services. If you are not 100% satisfied we ask that you contact us within 3-5 business days of your appointment so that we may schedule you to have your services corrected free of charge. Any issues reported longer than 5 days from the original appointment date will not immediately be considered a redo but will be assessed on a case by case basis. GUARANTEE RETURNS. Just as we want you to be satisfied with your hair we want you to be happy with the products you are using. We will gladly accept returns for store credit with an e-gift card for any of our retail products within 7- days from purchase as long as product is unused and in its' original conditioning,
  • LATE/TARDY POLICY
    We will always try our best to accommodate you if you’re running behind, stuck in traffic, etc. It happens, we know! However, your tardiness can affect the remainder of our stylist day by delaying her for their clients who come in on time. For this reason, we have set a few general ground rules for such situations. You are given a 5 minute grace period. After that time, we may call to check in on you. If you are able to make it in time for your entire service to be completed, great! If not, you may have to forgo parts of the service in order to keep it in the time allotted for you. Please, always call if you even think you might be late; we’d rather know as early as possible so we can do our best to fit you in without upsetting the flow of our day! If you are more than 15 minutes late, there will be a $15 late fee. More than 30 minutes late results in to a cancellation 9see cancellation policy for details). Again, please remember that your appointments are reserved for you & only you. These policies allow us the opportunity to alert our standby clients of any openings, therefore allowing us to provide the best service possible.   • PRICES + TIMES POLICY
    Price list and times are for estimate only. Up charge will apply for extra time/add-on services. We try to be as prompt and efficient with our scheduling as possible, there are times services require more time than expected. We will try to give a courtesy call to clients when stylists are behind schedule, but in some cases, we cannot foresee the issue, due to chemical processes. Please be aware that each guest has different needs and in certain cases they may be running behind. ​
  • EXTENSION POLICY.
    All installs lasts minimum 2 weeks with proper care. It is highly recommended that all wigs and lace are provided by the establishment due to our quality of hair. HD lace are preferred for a more realistic installs.
  • SERVICES TO MINORS
    Out The Blu Beauty Bar are adult oriented atmospheres. We do not accept appointments for minors under the age of 13 years unless otherwise discussed In which, an minor must be accompanied by a parent. Also, minors over the age of 13 are and any guest not allowed in the beauty bar service area unless they are receiving services. Children under the age of 18 may need a signed waiver and/or be accompaniment by a parent or adult guardian to receive services.     For the comfort of all of our guests, we are smoke-free environments. This includes electronic cigarettes and vaporizers.

    No card information is ever saved at Out The Blú Beauty Bar and it remains the private property of the card holder at all times before, during, and after the product purchase. All transactions are processed through Square,LLC which is a secure form of payment. You do need an account to use their payment service. We at Out The Blú Beauty Bar take many active steps to ensure the absolute safety of your credit card and personal information. In addition to processing all credit card sales via a fully secured and reputable third party payment processor, your checkout experience is protected by industry standard 128 Bit SSL encryption to protect your private data. Out The Blú Beauty Bar does NOT keep credit card information on record without your consent.
  • CANCELLATION POLICY
    STANDARD CANCELLATION POLICY. Guests can cancel their reservations at no cost within the timeframe of the cancellation policy set by the salon. For reservations cancelled past the cancellation date, charges may incur. Your appointments are very important to our stylist. We hold your appointments just for you & ask that if you must cancel or reschedule any appointment, you please provide us with a 48- hours notice. This way, our stylist will be able to adjust their schedules accordingly and we may be able to accommodate clients on our waiting list. We do, of course, understand that unavoidable issues come up and will do our best to work with you in case of an emergency, etc. Therefore, you are granted one reschedule. However, if last minute cancellations or ‘no shows’ happens again, you will be charged a cancellation fee. Here is our general breakdown of cancellation fees: • Less than 48 hour notice will result in a charge equal to 50% of reserved appointment(s)* • ‘NO CALL/ NO SHOWS’ will be charged 100% of service amount** As a courtesy, text and/or email to confirm the date and time at least 48-hours prior to your appointment. If we are unable to reach out to you and only text and/or email you, or cannot reach you at all, please understand that it is your responsibility to remember your appointment dates and times in order to avoid missed appointments and cancellation fees. You are always welcome to call and double check any appointments if you’re unsure. SAME-DAY CANCELLATION POLICY Your appointments are incredibly important to our stylists, and we hold them just for you. We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, especially with same-day services. In such cases, our standard cancellation policy doesn't apply, and we're forgiving, granting you one reschedule opportunity. However, to ensure fairness and consistency in our scheduling process, we must re-emphasize our same-day appointment policy. Moving forward, full payment will be required before any future services can be rendered. Please note that a cancellation fee will be charged according to the following breakdown: NO SHOWS will incur a charge of 100% of the service fee.* We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out. * If card on file declines you be banned from booking any future services. ** If you're NCNS is approved pre-payment will be required for all future services in full.
  • USE OF PHOTOS
    We encourage clients to send "inspiration" photos of the style they would like to considered during the beauty services. We do not produce exact replica of services based off inspirational photo submitted by client. The use of pictures is for a guide only ** Results may vary.
  • MEDICAL DISCLOSURES
    FOR YOUR COMFORT IN THE BEAUTY BAR. We request that you disclose any medical conditions and/or prescription medications as some services may be contraindicated. Please advise our professional staff of any allergies or sensitivities or if you are pregnant. Please note, we do not perform any chemical services during the first trimester of pregnancy. After the first trimester, a doctor’s approval is recommended but not required.
  • GRATUITIES
    Tipping is left to the discretion of our guests. However, the average guest tip 15% to 20%, depending on the service and your satisfaction. Going with 20% is nice for the stylist and you because that math is pretty simple. To find 20%, start by finding 10%, then double that amount.

    YES! Our sew-in and wig services requires clients to purchase our extensions or wigs and your technician will install them at a discounted rate, when applicable. Complimentary 15-minute Zoom Meeting consultation or in-person consultation for a fee. Deposit required at time of appointment booking. Complete price quote at consultation. Hair for custom wigs and sew-ins are recommended to be purchase from OTB Beauty Bar via Misty (hair must be PAID IN FULL and a 50% deposit must be made prior to visit). However, if you desire to use hair you will be providing please let stylist know in advance - technician MUST possess hair and APPROVE 72 hours before installation or 1-2 weeks for custom units. We STRONGLY suggest you use only QUALITY hair from our extensions or wigs to ensure the best results and longetivity of the product.

Buns, plaits, chignons, cornrows, Bantu knots and two strand twists are all protective styles. Most importantly, our hairstylists are artists who perform low manipulation hairdos including crochet braids, flat twists, faux locs, cornrows, hair extensions, weaving and wigs.     No, color services that are not followed by a haircut, do not include styling and must be scheduled separately as a color finish. Alternatively, you may request to gain access to our complementary self-blowdry area or head dryer available that is fully stocked with professional tools and products.

Before working on a client, Our professionals will provide un-matched customer satisfaction by rendering excellent service, analyzing the hair, recommending a style or treatment, and may also provide instructions and provide you with quality products that will let you get the same look at home. Once service we are completed with your beauty service we offer a mini shoot so you can share the results of your celebritiy experience. Our elite community enjoys complimentary special perks such as hair assessments, personalized recommendations, relaxing scalp massages, free wifi, free treatments and more. DETANGLING: Typically there is NO charge for MINOR detangling of your hair. Nevertheless, there IS a charge for detangling when. You haven't combed your hair in a substantial amount of time this causes the service to become fairly labor-intensive. You have just removed a protective style that you've worn more than a month. You have matting or EXCESSIVE tangling due to not combing or detangling. Detangling fees START at $50/per hour. If you would like us to do the detangling prep, please ADD-ON this service upon booking your appointment. If not added, the time may not permit for us to complete the service. This may result to a canceled appointment. PREVIOUS STYLE TAKEDOWNS: When you come in for your appointment, your hair MUST be ready for your shampoo service. If I have to take your previous style down before I get started on your current service we are using your service time taking down your hair instead of starting on your new style, which throws me behind. It also takes your service into the service time of the next client. Therefore if this happens a charge WILL occur. Depending on the complexity of the takedown and detangling, an additional charge of $30-$50/per hour will be added to your service. DRYING TIME (THICK | LONG HAIR): As textured hair can take awhile to fully dry. If you'd like to fully dry your set, for ALL NATURAL HAIR SERVICES it must be book no later than 4pm. Won't need full drying for the following services like twist out, curl define you may book later time. If you prefer to leave with your twist in time requirement does not apply.

    Some of our services are à la carte and have allotted durations. If you are uncertain of what to book, looking for a big change, have extra long or thick hair, or in need of corrective work, we highly recommend scheduling a complimentary in-person or virtual consultation to ensure that you are scheduled with enough time to complete your desired services.

    Consultations give you an opportunity to get to know your hair technician and give your technician the chance to analyze your hair, learn about your lifestyle, beauty routines (and whether you have any), determine what is required, and how long it will take to achieve the hairstyle you desire. Fills in all the gray areas to see if you are a good fit for one another.

    Certainly! While we primarily operate on an appointment-based model and do not accept physical walk-ins, we do accommodate same-day appointments, also known as walk-ins, through our waitlist system. Here's how it works: To secure a walk-in appointment, simply sign up for our waitlist by scrolling down and clicking on 'book now', or by downloading our app for even easier access. Once you're on our waitlist, you'll receive a 'Ready Next' text alert via SMS when your wait time is reduced to just 15 minutes. It's a hassle-free process! For same-day appointments, you can reach out to us starting at 10:00 am using our contact form, emailing us, or by via chat|texting line. If there are available slots and a technician is free, we'll add your name to our waitlist. Please note that being added to the waitlist is not a confirmed appointment. However, as long as space remains available and a technician is free, we'll contact you on a first-come, first-served basis.
