Do You Walk-In Or Make An Appointment At Your Nail Salon?

Do you call ahead and make an appointment? Or do you roll the dice and walk-in? Have you ever wondered about the process of how they select who will perform your service?

As the owner of a salon and many years in the business I’m asked these questions often. This post is intended to give you some insight on what happens behind-the-scenes at your favorite beauty bar.

You have 3 OPTIONS:

WALK-IN: Walk in visits in the beauty bar are not pre booked. You must physically walk in to the salon to be seen by an available technician and then are seen in order of arrival or status of your membership relationship. Walk in guest do not call ahead. We PLEASE NOTE: We will give priority to scheduled appointments over walk-ins. For any specialized services or services that take over 2 hours you will be required to schedule an appointment.

If you call in, you will be added to:

WAITLIST: Add your name to the wait-list 😊 on a ✌🏾 first come, first served ✌🏾 basis, this will maximize your chances of success. This does not confirm you for a service. However, If spaces become available, you will be offered the opportunity to visit based on the order in which you signed up.

STAND-BY LIST: If already have an appointment and want to change within the 24 hour policy, the technician will see if there are any available seats on alternate date/time. If there are, the technician will charge you a fee based on policy to change your spot and you will be confirmed for the new time.

• If there aren't spots available, then you'll be given the option to get on the standby list for free. While you wait for your appointment to be changed, you'll keep your spot on the original day. Note that if you'd like to change your appointment before the 24-hour mark, you can change and confirm a new slot on outtheblubeautybar.com website anytime.

• For non-members, Silver Loyalty Elite Status Members, Package Service and Unlimited Memberships, you'll have to choose a spot that is earlier than the one that you booked. Diamond, Platinum, and Gold Loyalty Elite Status Members can pick a seat any time that day during operating hours.

Out The Blú Beauty Bar standby service is available for all salon classes except for Elite Status Non-Members.

Appointment. As mentioned earlier, in most salons appointments will typically receive priority over walk-ins.

Another advantage with an appointment is that you can select the technician that you would like to perform your service. I always recommend to do a little research before calling for an appointment. If you are new to the area or don’t have a favorite technician yet talk to friends and family to see who they use or go online and search through the various review sites such as Yelp.

Lastly, if possible, try to arrive early for your appointment. If you arrive early for your appointment this gives the salon and technician more flexibility to handle your appointment.

This also gives you time to make the most important decision of all …….“WHAT STYLE?”
